How to get the best vacation property experience:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Selecting the best vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Oceanfront condo with 3 shared pools, 2 seaside balconies, and sound side dock. has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Crystal Coast destination you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Considerations for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
