Our top Pine Knoll Shores rental booking tips:

Get the best rental value:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Pine Knoll Shores. To book the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First and foremost, have your group decide on date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Roosevelt Retreat, Almost Oceanfront House, Located in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
