Tips for getting the perfect Emerald Isle rental experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Crystal Coast area. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Crystal Coast area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing and booking a perfect Crystal Coast rental:

  • First and foremost, have your group select the best dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Towering Seas, Almost Oceanfront Duplex in Emerald Isle, NC! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, email the property manager before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
