Beaufort rental booking tips and tricks:

When to book a Crystal Coast rental & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and choose a perfect Crystal Coast rental:

  • Select dates and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Why Knot Getaway…Rooftop with WaterView! Unit E has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Crystal Coast rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
