Located in Atlantic Beach, this vacation home is on the beach. Triple S Marina and Anchorage Marina are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those in the mood for shopping can visit Coral Bay Shopping Center and Morehead Plaza Shopping Center. North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and North Carolina Maritime Museum are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

• Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses.
