About the Area

Located in Atlantic Beach, this condo is on the beach. Triple S Marina and Anchorage Marina are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Hoop Pole Creek Nature Trail and Rachel Carson Reserve. North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and North Carolina Maritime Museum are also worth visiting. Looking to get your feet wet? Scuba diving, snorkeling and windsurfing adventures can be found near the property.

Getting the best rental value:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is optimal for your group.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
