Tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer is high season in the Crystal Coast area. Booking your Crystal Coast vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Crystal Coast area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting and booking the perfect Crystal Coast vacation home:

  • Start by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Moonlight Suite 196* has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's a specific Crystal Coast destination you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the host's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
