Booking the best rental home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Crystal Coast area. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Crystal Coast vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your search:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean Reef 4-B1, Oceanfront Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
