Finding the best Emerald Isle rental experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • Summer months are high season in Emerald Isle. Book your vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

How to choose and book the best Crystal Coast vacation home:

  • To start, have your group agree to the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. OCEANFRONT home with breathtaking views, East - Emerald Isle, NC! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
