North Carolina Maritime Museum and Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Anchorage Marina and Hoop Pole Creek Nature Trail. North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway are also worth visiting. Jet skiing, scuba diving, and water skiing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling nearby.
