Crystal Coast vacation rental booking tips:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the perfect rental in the Crystal Coast area:

  • Choose your vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Lovely 1 BR with King bed Apt 2 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • If there's an individual Crystal Coast beach you crave, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or applied to your invoice.

Advice for your stay:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
