Welcome to Shore is Fun! This refreshed home is ready to host your next vacation! Technically, it’s a duplex with two kitchens and two living areas—but it’s rented as a single-family home, making it ideal for two (or more) families to vacation together. Located just 300 feet from the beach and only one row back from the Bogue Sound, you'll savor painless access to both!

Inside, an adjoining door accepts you to appreciate time together and still have a bit of privacy. With a complete remodel in 2023, the updates include new floors, fresh paint, modern cabinets, updated appliances, a new front deck, and more!

Bring along your well-behaved pup to enjoy the rare, fenced backyard! This 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home (2BR/1BA on each side) is packed with amenities, like Intelligent TVs in every bedroom and living area (just remember to log out of your apps!). The kitchens are entirely supplied with huge and modest appliances—think air fryer, crock pot, coffee maker, blender, and more.

Unwind on the new front deck with rocking chairs for sunsets, or kick back on the ocean-view deck’s sectional couch (complete with a gate for added safety). The fenced backyard features a gas grille and a shaded porch hangout area, plus two enclosed hot/cold outdoor showers to rinse off after beach days.

This home is designed for creating memorable family moments! Smoking is not allowed. Typical stays run Sunday to Sunday, but flexible dates are available depending on the season. Linens (linens, bath towels, and kitchen towels) are supplied with beds made. Animals are welcome with a $250 non-returnable pet fee per dog (up to two dogs).

About the Area

Located in Emerald Isle, this vacation home is near the beach. Flatwaters Paddling and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Beach Wheels Bike Rental and Emerald Plantation. Emerald Isle Adventures and The Sweet Spot are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Crystal Coast restaurants and activities.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.

  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective.
