Tips for getting the best vacation home experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Crystal Coast restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides have discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

Planning and choosing yourvacation home:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront Bliss In Atlantic Beach, NC has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Crystal Coast attraction you simply love, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
