How to book the best Emerald Isle rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • To get the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting and booking the right Crystal Coast vacation home:

  • Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Sound Of The Sea East 131, Oceanfront Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Crystal Coast rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
