Atlantic Beach rental home booking tips and tricks:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Crystal Coast vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select your vacation week and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Sunset Shores-Oceanfront\/Pet Friendly Home in Atlantic Beach, NC has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before booking the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your contract.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
