Our top Atlantic Beach rental home tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • To get the largest rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Crystal Coast restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to choose and book the best Crystal Coast rental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. A Place at the Beach Unit 167 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. Otherwise, email the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
