About this Property

  • Sleeps 8
  • 5 Bedrooms
  • 3 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 2000 square feet

You will adore this classic beach home that sits right on the ocean with upstairs and downstairs porches affording fantastic vistas and ocean access! It is comfortable and cozy, old school, with no frills, but with all that is needed for a fun stay at the beach in a super location.

There are 2 full baths with showers, a third bath with a claw foot tub, and another half bath.

The downstairs master has private bath and king bed. The upstairs has 4 bedrooms, 2 with king size beds. One of the king rooms also has 3 twins and is usually claimed by our grandchildren. The other 2 bedrooms upstairs have queen size beds. There is a full bath with shower upstairs as well as a half bath.
Additionally, there is an outdoor shower which we all seem to prefer in the summer. All linens are supplied, towels and sheets, as well as a supplied kitchen, including mixer, blender, processor, toaster, coffee maker, pots/pans and cooking silverware. There are games, books and puzzles that tend to accumulate over the years. Bikes, beach games/toys, rafts etc camp out in the basement/garage. The washer/dryer are in the basement as well. Most of our time is spent on the porch and front deck, overlooking the ocean. There is most often a marvelous breeze and always a spectacular view. A gas grille can be rolled out of the garage for grilling. A second refrigerator is in the basement which comes in handy for additional drinks, overflow food and a little additional freezer space.
This home has been in our family a very long time and our memories from all the years are rich. It is an old classic, which we appreciate, and very comfortable, inviting you to relax and appreciate your stay at the beach. You can feel the appreciate when you walk in the door. The location is super, in a very friendly, family aligned neighborhood. Conveniently, groceries, eateries and stores are all within a mile.

Vacation rental home tips:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Booking in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and pick the right Crystal Coast rental:

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Classic beach house right on the ocean. has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is suitable for your trip.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
