Booking the best Beaufort vacation rental experience:

When to visit Beaufort & When to book:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by choosing a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Updated Guest House in Beaufort Historic District--Walkable to Front Street! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you book the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is right for your trip.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or might be applied to your agreement.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
