Tips to get the very best Crystal Coast vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • First and foremost, have your family decide on date ranges and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Ocean View Escape - Ocean View Condo has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
