Tips and Tricks to get the very best rental experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To book the best rental home for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Crystal Coast restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick the right Crystal Coast vacation home:

  • Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Pet-Friendly Suites with a small fee, short walk to Beaufort Waterfront has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is best for your family.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • At Check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
