Tricks and tips to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:

Sticking to a budget:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. Booking in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick yourvacation home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beach Life Up, Oceanview Duplex in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property manager before booking the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
