Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:

Finding the best value:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.

How to choose the perfect rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. SeaSpray 250, Oceanview Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
