Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. • Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
