How to find the best Atlantic Beach rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking the rightrental:

  • First, have your family decide on vacation dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanside Condo with family friendly amenities! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • At Check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
