How to find the best Beaufort vacation home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Crystal Coast area. To find the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Crystal Coast rental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Incredible Views - Magnificent Sunsets\nI Little Piece of Heaven\n has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many problems.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
