Welcome to Beaufort, the “Coolest Modest Town in America,” the “Finest Modest Town for Adventure,” and “America’s Favorite Town,”* titles earned newly and with good reason.
This striking town has been a magnet for excitement for hundreds of years— and was a known hangout for pirates — including Blackbeard himself! He resided close by and most likely moored his ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, right out front (stop at the NC Maritime Museum and see artifacts recovered from that shipwreck). Undoubtedly, he crossed this very yard after a long stretch of pillaging overseas!!
The home itself is supplied with everything you need for convenience, comfort and recreation. The welcoming front porch is ideal for watching the parade of boats drift by under the sunset and greeting neighbors. Indoors you will find Intelligent TVs in the comfortable living room, a cavernous dining area for gathering and a modern kitchen for cooking together. There are three bedrooms with Intelligent TVs and a wood-paneled additional room (with a full bed) inspired by Hemingway’s boat, “Pilar.” There are two bathrooms as well, one is a half bath with direct access to an outdoor shower. Bathing in the fresh air is one of life’s simple pleasures!
The Front Street address is ideal for its vistas of Taylor’s Creek, with wild horses across the way and dolphins painless to spot frolicking. A half-mile walk is historic downtown, home to fine dining, stores and cafes, creekfront drinks, art walks and more. There are always fun activities in town, including live music, ghost walks and pirate tours.
The property features a humongous floating dock for two boats, a floating kayak dock, a swim ladder, a fish cleaning station and bench seating. With deep and calm water, Taylor's Creek is the ideal safe harbor. Bring your boat and take the opportunity to cruise The Cape Lookout National Seashore — freshly voted the best National Park. Head to the Cape Lookout Lighthouse or island hop to your heart’s content. The beaches and the Crystal Coast are pristine places of beauty.
We can’t wait for you to appreciate our sweet and relaxing home in a neighborhood that is private and in a peaceful community focused on southern hospitality and harmony. Cheers from The Painless Plateau!

Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation property experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Crystal Coast rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your Crystal Coast rental home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • First and foremost, have your family agree to the best dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Waterfront Cottage on Taylor's Creek w\/ Boat Dock - Near Shops and Restaurants has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. Otherwise, call the host before reserving the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More considerations:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
