Booking the best Crystal Coast vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Crystal Coast rental home:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Crystal Coast area travel guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

  • At Check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
