Tricks and tips to get the best vacation property experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in Beaufort. Booking your Crystal Coast vacation home in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and pick the right Crystal Coast vacation home:

  • Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Beaufort bungalow on Belle Air has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If not, contact the host before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
