How to book the best Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, shift your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book yourvacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Family Paradise, Oceanfront Complex Amenities Galore has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Crystal Coast attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
