Tips for getting the perfect Crystal Coast rental home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain discounts for local shops and restaurants.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Family Paradise, Oceanfront Complex Amenities Galore has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a certain Crystal Coast beach you crave, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

During your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
