Our top Crystal Coast rental home booking tips:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer time is high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book yourrental:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Spacious ocean view home. Just a 3 minute walk to the beach! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
